As we come to the end of August...for many the children are already back in school or will be returning to school within the next few weeks. Summer getaways were fun and now many of us are already dreaming about our next vacation or getaway. The amazing thing about travel is that you don't have to go away for 7 days to enjoy or to be able to classify your trip as a vacation. A simple weekend getaway can be a vacation.
As the fall approaches and the daylight saving time comes to and end, many are wondering how can they enjoy, relax, refresh and getaway during the fall and winter months without breaking the bank.
A simple road trip to a city or town within a reasonable drive time is a great way to refresh and getaway. Perhaps visiting a location which has great restaurants and inexpensive activities is a great option for some. A romantic 2 night stay in a cabin in the mountains is sure to be relaxing and enjoyable.
Regardless of where you choose to getaway this fall or winter, the great thing is that if you plan in advance, you don't have to wait until next summer for a vacation.
So, don't get stuck with the vacation deficit blues...start putting a few dollars aside now to enjoy a fall or winter getaway.
